duo Asian Provocateurs are comedy writer-performers Sajeela Kershi and
Yasmeen Khan - the only British Asian female sketch duo in the UK! Their
comedy sketches cover everything from religious extremism to the BNP and TV show spoofs. They were finalists in the New Act of the Year Competition 2011 and are listed in the Sunday Times as one of the top six female acts to see at Edinburgh 2011.
Sajeela Kershi is a stand-up comedian/MC and writer. She has performed all over the UK and internationally and has been involved with various Edinburgh shows in the past, including her first solo show 'Bitch Got Owned' in 2009. She infamously played the outraged heckler in Brendon Burns 2007 If.Comedy award-winning show. Yasmeen Khan is a performer, broadcaster and journalist. She presents and produces documentaries on BBC Radio 4, looking at both British Asian and mainstream topics. Yasmeen is also a presenter on the BBC Asian Network and a regular voice on LBC radio. She also devises and performs comedy and drama as part of the award-winning MUJU theatre company.
